WELCOME

Go Fish USA.

The Genesis 1:26 Project is advocating for Gamefish Status for specific saltwater fish species.

From federal waters offshore to the nearshore estuaries of our coast, a troubling pattern is unfolding:
Red snapper regulations are a clear example of how commercial interests are prioritized over the public's right to fish. At the same time, shrimp trawling in state waters continues with staggering waste — killing countless juvenile fish and sea life — while regulators look the other way.

Stewardship Starts with Us

Our fisheries managers are the stewards of our saltwater resources — the ones we trust to protect what belongs to all of us.
But if we don’t speak up, if we don’t show them that we care, nothing will change.
Not for us. Not for our children. Maybe not even for the next generation.

That’s why GoFishUSA exists — to educate.

To empower everyday anglers, families, and citizens who’ve been left out of the conversation for far too long.

Because when the public is informed and the truth comes to light, change becomes possible — especially at the ballot box.

This must become a voting issue. When our waters are mismanaged, the public loses. It’s time for citizens to demand accountability and vote for leaders who will protect the wild resources which God gave to all of us equally.

The Genesis 1:26 Project "Gamefish Status" mission to educate the public on what went wrong with recreational access to the saltwater fishery. How can the public pay the price for the commercial sector thru regulations?

Gamefish status plays a crucial role in protecting freshwater fisheries and ecosystems by regulating the of specific species that are essential for maintaining ecological balance. By designating certain fish as gamefish, conservation efforts can limit overishing and ensure that populations remain sustainable. Additionally, laws against waste and wanton killing help prevent unnecessary harm to fish populations and their habitats, promoting a healthier ecosystem overall. Together, these regulations support biodiversity and ensure that recreational fishing can be enjoyed responsibly for years to come.
